Pediatric Obesity Algorithm and Panel Discussion

Wendy Scinta, MD, MS, FOMA, Dipl. ABOM

Dr. Wendy Scinta is a nationally recognized expert on adult and childhood obesity treatment and current president-elect of the Obesity Medicine Association. She is a clinical assistant professor of family medicine at SUNY Upstate and a diplomate of the American Board of Family Physicians and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Her recent awards include receiving "Bariatrician of the Year" (OMA-2012), Physician of the Year (NY Business Journal-2013), and America’s Top Doctors (CRCA-2014).







Suzanne Cuda, MD, FAAP, FOMA, Dipl. ABOM

Dr. Suzanne Cuda operates a childhood obesity clinic in downtown San Antonio, which serves mostly inner-city Hispanic children with state-assisted health insurance. Her clinic is enrolled in the Pediatric Obesity Weight Enrollment Evaluation Registry. Other current research includes studies on the six-minute walk test and on visceral fat. Dr. Cuda is board-certified in general pediatrics and adolescent medicine and is a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.




Marisa Censani, MD

Dr. Marisa Censani is an assistant professor of pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine and an attending physician at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. She is the director of the pediatric obesity program in the division of pediatric endocrinology at Weill Cornell Medicine. She is a member of OMA's pediatric obesity committee and is currently serving a three-year term on Pediatric Endocrine Society's obesity committee. She is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology and is a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.








Madeline Joseph, MD, FAAP, FACEP

Madeline Joseph is a professor of pediatrics and emergency medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine and division chief and medical director at UF Pediatric Weight Management Center-WCH. She published numerous books, book chapters, original research papers, and review articles in pediatrics. Dr. Joseph served in leadership roles on national committees at the American Academy of Pediatrics and American College of Emergency Physicians and is a member of national obesity committees.
