Physical Activity

Deborah Bade Horn, DO, MPH, MFOMA, Dipl. ABOM

Dr. Horn is the medical director of the Center for Obesity Medicine and Metabolic Performance and is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Texas Medical School. She is board-certified in family and general preventive medicine and is a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. In 2011, Dr. Horn earned the Obesity Medicine Association’s (OMA) Obesity Medicine Clinician of the Year award. She currently serves as the OMA president. She regularly presents in a variety of educational formats and venues about physical activity, obesity, and weight-related comorbidities. Dr. Horn received her medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri. She also holds two master’s degrees, one in exercise physiology and another in public health and physical activity.
