Dr. Morton is the president of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and Chief of Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Stanford School of Medicine. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and certified in medical quality and obesity medicine with MPH and MHA degrees. He has published over 120 articles and received 6 teaching, 7 clinical, and 12 research awards including the 2012 Castle Connolly Physician of the Year for clinical excellence.
