CME/CE Expiration Date: 01/09/2023*
Description: Growing literature suggests that mindfulness-based strategies for eating behavior, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance-based commitment therapy (ACT), are effective and superior to traditional models of behavioral weight management for both weight loss and other related parameters. This interactive session will hone in on the psychological construct of overeating, provide an alternative perspective to the framework of obesity management, and demonstrate how to apply these tools in the office setting.
This webinar fulfills 1 CME of the case study requirement for the OMA Obesity Treatment Proficiency Badge in Behavior (TM). Apply concepts learned in the Behavior Proficiency Badge coursework to a patient case. Participants will also be required to complete a post-test to demonstrate proficiency in obesity treatment with behavior. Participants will also be required to complete a post-test after the webinar to demonstrate proficiency in behavioral interventions for obesity treatment.
